Leading Hand Landfill

About the role

Lead daily operations at the City's landfill site, supervising a skilled team and ensuring safe, efficient waste management and environmental compliance. This hands-on role offers variety and impact, overseeing plant activities, coordinating contractors, and maintaining high standards across compaction, coverage, and site care. Bring your leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to a role that keeps our city clean and running smoothly.

About you

A Certificate III in Civil Construction (or equivalent), HR licence, White Card, and relevant machine experience are essential for this role. You'll need strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills, along with the ability to work safely under pressure. Experience working with contractors and customers, and a commitment to safe work practices, will enable you to succeed.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive Salary (from $69,731.14) depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation.
  • Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week
